The staff was great especially the guy up front Raul. He was very helpful. The food could be a bit better. The only problem was that the night shows were a bit adult for a family

Overall we enjoyed our stay. My husband and 2 boys (10 and 12) went for 8 nights. I read lots of reviews before we went and was a little concerned but here is a summary: The Good: Very friendly staff. A little tipping to the maid goes a long way in getting a few "extras" in your room - like a fridge, bottled water every day, a few sodas and juices here and there. Also, nice little animals made out of towels placed on the beds - cute! The grounds and beach are beautiful. Nice buildings. Not luxurious, but nice. Food was decent - especially the Italian and Mexican restaurants. Although we could always find stuff on the buffet we liked, it did get a little old (we were there 8 days though) and so went into town for a couple of meals. But overall no issues with the food. The bad: Since all of the floors (hallway, rooms, etc.) are tiled, it was a bit loud - suitcases being rolled down the hallway, drunken people coming in. Pools are not heated. Also, the wine was not so good. Could pay extra for better wine at restaurants. Location was great - 5 minute cab ride to town. Also it felt very safe there. But none of the bad outweighs the good. We definitely enjoyed the place and recommend it for others.

Got to hotel and checked into room to find no towels in room, no hot water, and the whirlpool that we paid extra for not working either. The hot water was fixed after complaining to atleast 5 people. The concierge is pushy and will call your room every day to see if you want to sit through a presentation on the Viva Condos. We upgraded to a nicer room (60.00/day) and had a better view of the ocean and there were finally no problems with the room. The food is good, but doesn't vary that much at all from day to day. There are a lot of things to do at the hotel and a lot of shops right outside the hotel, the ferry to Cozumel is less than a 5 minute cab ride away, and the beach and pool are both great. I would stay here again, but in the upgraded room from the very beginning.

it is a nice hotel. kind of cute. the wireless doesn't work right. If you want to have fun you have to schedule your plans before to arrive.
