Village Hotel Changi by Far East Hospitality

We chose this hotel for an overnight stay as we were transiting through Singapore on the way back to Australia and didn't want to travel all the way into the city as we had an early flight to catch the next morning. The hotel was clean and had nice modern amenities, the staff were very friendly. Location is Changi village, we didn't get to explore it much as we arrive late at night and departed early morning. The hotel provided a free shuttle bus to the airport in the morning which was great and saved a taxi fare. Overall a decent hotel for overnight transits, but if you are staying in singapore for longer periods I would recommend staying closer to the city.

Quite a distance from the airport, no hotel/local information in room, very shabby and needs a considerable refurbishment.

Close to the airport, but the shuttle only runs once per hour. When I arrived in Singapore after a very long day traveling I was not willing to wait an hour for the shuttle (as I had just missed one by a minute). The taxi cost 17 Singapore dollars. I was too tired to view the facilites or eat at the restaurants, but my room was clean and comfortable, staff were courteous and professional.

Friendly staff (in their StarTrek uniforms), free shuttle to airport, loads of great local food next door, calm oasis near the beach away from the city. Good value.

I have stayed at the Changi Village before and enjoyed the convenience of the airport shuttle service and proximity to the airport. The shuttle was fine but this time I arrived at the hotel at 2pm which is officially check-in time and the room wasn't ready for another 2 hours. Having just come off a 12 hour flight I found the wait excruciating. I had some food in the Saltwater Cafe whilst waiting and that was a bit overpriced for quite an average salad and juice. The room was comfortable enough except that they had omitted to give me any towels and after ringing housekeeping I was given two bath towels. It wasn't until the next morning just before checking out that the full complement of towels was delivered! Not entirely sure I if I will be staying there again.

They treated us like royalty in that we arrived before check-in after a long over nite flight and they gave us a room which was greatly needed.

A close location to airport with free shuttle to and from airport that helps. However was disappointed that there was no free wifi as like most other singapore hotels. But comfortable room and nice rooftop pool.

This is a good all rounder - made a nice change from the city. Pleasant views - I enjoyed Changi Village food stalls. I thought the breakfast was quite good value.

I was very pleased last year with my stay so decided to come back again en route to \Europe Did not disappoint me, I stayed on The Executive Floor again, which included breakfast and happy hour with eats and drinks included, plus free internet. The views from my room were great watching the ships go up the harbour. There is a free shuttle to and from the Airport. The staff from the managers down to the cleaning staff all showed the same frIendly helpful ways

The hotel is actually some distance from the airport but has a useful shuttle bus service. The hotel has spacious public areas and the breakfast was fine, but although our room was comfortable it had a musty smell. The window was heavily recessed and let in little light, with no real outlook. The staff were polite and pleasant, and the rooftop pool was an attractive area but could easily become congested.

I booked for a room with a queen size bed and got 2 single beds. When I complained about this to the staffs, they said they can't do anything as they are fully book. (they are lying through their teeth you can tell). Basically, before I booked this hotel I passed 2 other hotel booking because of the wrong bed they provided with the help of RatesToGo staff on the online chat. I am considering raising the complain with the creditcard company. Location wise, it is quiet and far away from everything in the city of Singapore, but they provided a shuttle service to Terminal 2 to allow us to catch the MRT. I think I will try a different hotel in Singapore the next time.

The hotel was not very accomodating (no pun intended). The room had very few amenities. We had to request additional teabags etc. It did not have any utensils such as spoons (to stir your coffee). The room we were in had a very lit up facade out the front, and no thick curtain to block it out. It was like living in a half light. On the plus side, the staff were fine and were willing to allow us a late checkout because of our flight. The prices were not value for money in comparison to other places we had stayed in Singapore.

We wanted an overnight break at the end of a month in India and found the Changi Village a great place to stay. Would have liked to have had more time there.

Great value......especially if you upgrade for the club level. Great if you need to be close to the Loyang industrial area, and the nearby food courts are great !

This is the best hotel near Singapore Airport for a reasonable price. I have stayed here twice. It is consistent quality with excellent staff. They have a free bus to & from the airport. There are nice outdoor restaurants within a block of the hotel.
