The location in a lemon grove overlooking the Bay of Naples was very good but it was a 15 minute walk along a busy road to the centre of Sorrento. Although, helpfully some restaurants provide free pick up and drop off.

We received a nice welcome at Villa Oriana & enjoyed our 3 nights stay there. The breakfast is very nice, the jacuzzi is a nice touch on the roof & the owner Maria looked after ourselves very well.

Beautiful location, albeit quite a walk to get into Sorrento old town. The Villa and rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is varied and plentyful including home made and local produce as well as delicious cakes and coffee. It made our stay quite special.

The first time my wife and I visited Sorrento we stayed at the Excelsior Vittoria. It was as expected wonderful. This time we also had my mother and sister and we wanted something a little more homely and at a reasonable price but still with high standards. The Villa Oriana exceeded our expectations. It is an extremely well run family hotel, very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and Maria her husband and son Pascaelle made us feel part of the family. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel and next time we visit Sorrento it will definately be at the Villa Oriana and not Excelsior Vittoria.

Hard to beleive this hotel is only two star accommodation, it was better than most of the three star hotels we stayed at in Italy. We booked a quad room, which was quite adequate, the bathroom was large and very clean. Staff were wonderful hosts, picking us up from the station and welcoming us with home made lemonade on our arrival. The views are fabulous and the breakfast even better. The only downside is it's a 10 minute walk into Sorrento along a sometimes narrow footpath. A wonderful Italian family experience, highly recommended.

It was a very pleasant and relaxing three days and, if I could have, I would have happily stayed longer.

This is an excellent choice for a visit to Sorrento. While located 1/2 mile from the center of Sorrento, the owners will drive you to start your day, and will pick you up if you need a transport at the end of the day. We loved our room - the Orange Room, very large with great antiques, a balcony with table and chairs. Private bathroom is newly renovated in wonderful tiles and has both bath and shower. We have a wonderful breakfast every morning. The family that runs this hotel is a wonderful group of people who welcome you as family. We will definitely return to this hotel any time we go to Sorrento.

If you would like to live in the orange garden with a charming sea view, do not hesitate to choose this hotel.

We stayed in Villa Oriana over the Christmas holiday season. It was a wonderful experience to be in a beautiful family home during this time. Our hosts were very hopsitable and we learnt alot about life in Italy, during this season, as we enjoyed our leisurely and delicious breakfasts. Their invaluable advice as to what to do and when we also appreciated. The setting is wonderful as are the views. The villa is a comfortable walk into Sorrento but most times we were dropped in Sorrento by one of the family . I have no hesitation in recommending this as great place to stay. As our first port of call we could not have asked for a better welcome to Italy and the begining of a taste for more.

Do not hesitate in booking - my husband and I spent 2 months travelling Europe and the Villa Oriana was a hightlight. The large villa is set on a hill among lemon orchards overlooking the bay of Sorrento. The rooms are spacious, quiet and restful. Pasquale and his family made our stay feel like a home away from home - we will be returning.

Villa approx 2k outside Sorrento with an excellent sea view. Very friendly hosts and an excellent breakfast with natural and home made ingredients. For anyone without a car, it’s a bit difficult to get to. And for anyone with a car, the stress of having to drive in this area of Italy is sure not going to help you relax. Unfortunately taxi fares in Sorrento are outrageous. For anyone not looking for a standard hotel formula I would have no hesitation to recommend this Villa.

The welcome is superb, the facilities (considering it is not a hotel) excellent and the location could not be bettered. It is like being welcomed into the family.

We ate supper at the hotel, the dinner was excellent. The location has a beautiful view overlooking the bay of Sorrento. Pasqualle is very pleasant and is an excellent host. We spoke to some of the guests and they all had good things to say about staying at Villa Oriana.

The most wonderful stay we had in Italy! Oriana has everything you need with perfect location, close to all sites, & your own Italian family. You get more than a room - the family is delightful and go out of their way to make sure every detail of your trip is satisfactory. The breakfast is delicious with everything fresh from the garden. I usually don't like going to the same place twice but my wife and I could visit Villa Oriana every year! Stay here and you won't regret it.
