Situated on one of the most beautiful hills with a splendid view of the city of Florence, this property is only ten minutes away from the city centre. The whole property is encircled by 22 hectares of park, olive groves and typical Tuscan country.

BEAUTIFUL grounds, decorations, layout, and views from the hills above Florence. A perfect step back into history and romance, if you love antiques, olive groves, artwork, superb dining, and helpful staff. My husband and I would return over and over again if given the opportunity to return to Italy. A perfect escape above the noise and hustle of the city below. Close to bus line to reach all of Florence's destinations. Owner and staff go out of their way to be helpful, book musuem reservations, help book transportation to the train station or airport, and offer travel tips, etc., all at no additional cost. I cannot tell you enough how amazing this villa really is!!!

Difficult to find if you drive your own car. Instead of expensive parking in Florence - you can take the bus. It goes quite frequently and takes only 10-15 minutes to city centre. Spectacular views and special atmosphere with outdoor breakfast in summer. The rooms are spread in three old villas. Our room was run down and not very nice - but the cleaning was good. During thunder storms, twice the lights went out and rain water poured in trough the ceiling. We were refused a refund. Hotel dinner was expensive and under average.

The location of this hotel and its views are fabulous - on the hills overlooking Florence and only twenty minutes by bus into the city. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was of a high quality. The hotel charges guests €1.50 per day per towel for use at the pool which I would not expect from a 4 star hotel and also, while not dirty the hotel could have done with a thorough dusting

Despite our concerns that the hotel would be too far out of Florence's centre, it's really acessible. Friendly staff at the reception sell bus tickets and bus times are very regular. It's a maximum ten minute walk to the bus stop, and a very pleasant one at that. If you prefer cab, expect to spend between 14-20 Euros per ride. Apart from that, our room was lovely, we had a part of villa to ourselves with great views of the Tuscan landscape. Walking to breakfast took us passed olive groves, and the seating area was wonderful. It's definitely a nice place to stay if you want peace and quiet.
