I would have preferred if there was Internet access available for my laptop. To the best of my knowledge there wasn't although I was only there for one night. I run a B & B myself but have limited knowledge of motels, especially in NZ so don't know what is the norm. The Internet is especially useful outside of the major cities.

We were particularly impressed with the friendly staff at the Viking Lodge Motel who went out of their way to look after us. At the request of my daughter, they went beyond the call of duty to provide a bottle of champagne and champagne flutes in the room for my birthday. It was so nice to have so much space and light in our unit. We wished that we could have stayed longer.
