Getting There and Around

Most tourists take a train from Hanoi, Vietnam into Sapa. Overnight trains are convenient because visitors can sleep on the train during the long ride and arrive to their destination in the morning. Trains depart from Hanoi regularly, but you will have to take a bus from Lo Cai to arrive in Sapa.

Most people walk in the city of Sapa, but if you need other transportation to get to some of the villages in the region, you can rent a bike or take a taxi.
