Victoria Railway Hotel Invercargill Guest Reviews
Great place with lots of character. Quiet at the weekends. Warm reception

Eian and Trudy are friendly hosts, who are very pleasing and service-minded. Very pittoresque location (former railway station) and starting point for sightseeing the environment of Invercargill.

Absolutely loved this old railway hotel - the decor was tasteful and old worldie - just what you would expect from such a place. I felt as if I had gone back in time- and first class! (The bathrooms were entirely modern - no problems there.) We had the two best rooms in the hotel (travelling with another couple) - they are at the top of the house, so you need to be comfortable climbing stairs. Iain romped up the stairs with the suitcases! We had 'Happy Hour' in the bar - and enjoyed chatting with our host and hostess - I think we put the world of education to rights! Dinner in the dining room was delicious - and well presented, and so was breakfast. Would certainly stay there again any time!

An absolutely wonderful experience, I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and it's restaurant. The owners have created a unique hotel in New Zealand
