Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa Guest Reviews
Excellent facilities, very well-designed, splendid location.

To improve: Food - only one restaurant is OK but the quality of food, particularly Vietnamese, is not at the level of the hotel. This is important as the isolated location makes it difficult to have dinner/lunch outside and because a visit to Vietnam without a good experience of Vietnamese food is not satisfying.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Lovely relaxing beach resort. We had a beachfront bungalow which was amazing. The only negative is that the hotel is very far from the main town...so you''re pretty much stuck with eating at the hotel restaurant or paying money for a cab into town.

The Victoria Phan Tiet Resort has some really great features as well as some serious shortcomings. If you are travelling with small children, you will really appreciate the creche. My son liked it better than his every-day play school. The location of the beach-front bungalows is also outstanding. The downsides of the resort include the lack of appropriate training (including limited English skills) of staff. Whith two small children, you really depend on swift and good service, and you would expect to get it at a resort like Victoria. Another drawback was the not so well maintained facilities of the hotel (the pathway to the beach had collapsed and no one seemed to be do anyting about it). Finally, the restaurant did not really meet our expectation in terms of variety/quality of food and ambience. All in all, Victoria Phan Thiet Resort could be a really nice hotel, but this would require some more pro-active involvement of the management and better-educated staff.

Throughly enjoyed our stay - The Victoria is a great place to relax and chill out without being cramped by other people. If you want more than relaxation it is possibly not the resort for you. The only down side is the journey from Saigon to Phan Thiet. We travelled by Hotel minibus which was fine - water and towels were provided. It is however a long and tedious journey (nearly four hours) although worth the effort when we got there.
