I've stayed here several times. I had a weird room last time where the shower and toilet room was larger than the room. Most peculiar. I assumed because it was kitted out for a disabled person I'd got the disabled room but they said not. Anyway. This may be basic but it is reasonably clean and well situated to get to airport and for local amenities. Loads of local eateries. The price is good and the staff are very nice and want to help and please.

The room is small. It has a window but without a view as it faces a firewall of another building. However, the location is great as it is just a block away from the church and walking distance to Esplanade and other places of interest in Singapore.

Victoria Hotel is a small unpretentious hotel. It is what it says it is. The Hotel is generally clean, the staff are friendly and accomodating. I am highly satisfied with the value I got from what I paid for. The location of the hotel is also very strategic its in the heart of the city, very accessible to all the shops, restaurants and sites. Will definitely love to stay again at Victoria. The chocolate gift that is handed out by front desk officer upon check-in is a thoughtful gesture. however I would suggest it will be more sweet and it has more style if the chocolate is laid on the bed with a small note with it. --- but nothing wrong with the way its handed now. We stayed two nights in this hotel but we spent a day in KL in between. First night they gave us a very small room. For the second night, we had a deluxe room and it was better of course but more expensive than the standart one. THe hotel staff is not very fond of helping but if you insist you can get an answer at least. They did not put soap in the bathroom in the second night and even we tried our best to get one, we could not succeed :) Location is very good, you can reach the riverside in 10-15 min. by walking. This is an average hotel but it is very expensive because it is in Singapore. But if you think how expensive the hotel rates in Singapore I can recommend this hotel as it is clean enough and if you do not normally spend your day in you can have the basic hotel facilities. Internet in the lobby is free of charge and there are two computers that you can use anytime.
