Excellent view from the dining room Good breakfast

Rooftop breakfast room is so nice to view all over the city (but windy). Staff are nice and friendly. But it's funny they put a fridge in our room on the last day we stay (brand-new fridge! We found the cardboard box of the fridge at the staircase...)

The Vera Cruz is in a good location for the Trinidade metro .It takes 5 mins. Trains were every 20 mins to and from the airport. Our room was small and basic The bathroom had seen better days. The breakfast was uninspiring and at busy times the breakfast room was overcrowded. How ever it was ok for just a couple of nights stay. It was not particularly noisey at night.Staff were helpful

The room was oddly shaped but adequately sized and attractively furnished - not modern, but the "period" details add interest; the bed was hard, but that seems to be the norm in Portugal! We had a view of a wall, and had to go out on the balcony and lean a little to see the main square from the breakfast room as the hotel is on a side street, though that did mean it was quiet (apart from the noise from other guests!). The breakfast was standard fare (croissants, bread rolls, cheese, ham, cereals, yoghurts, with juice and tea/coffee) and enough to keep us going. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent value for a cental location.
