Adequate for a budget hotel, though more expensive that similar budget hotels in better locations. For mine, Joo Chiat is not ideally located, particularly for public transport.

Excellent budget accommodation close enough to both the aiport and the city - about SGD15 either way. Walk to the MRT or Marine Parade shopping center.

Basic but ideal for a one or two night stop: sited in an old part of Singapore so local cafes and shops abound and good quality art gallery just opened nearby. Bus service and easy taxis
