- Iglesia de la Candelaria – This church dates back to the mid 1700s and is home to the tomb of the most important local saint.

When To Go
Wintertime in Caracas is by far the most popular time of year with travellers, boasting an average temperature of 24°C/75°F.
You can expect some rainfall and the occasional humid day between May and July, but it’s still mostly pleasant.
The best time to head to Caracas is around September, when the weather is beautiful and the city is all yours.
Getting Around
Taxis are plentiful, but only use licensed ones and be prepared to haggle.
The metro train service is very clean, safe and super cheap. Despite a few occasional delays, this is the best way around the city.
Less frequent than the train but just as reliable, the metrobus is another excellent option.
