From rhythm and blues to baton twirlers, rides and food, the Annual Cathedral Festival in St. Augustinehas been a huge February event celebrated for more than 20 years.
In March, the Lions Seafood Festival has St. Augustine dancing, singing and crafting it up all while enjoying a great selection of seafood.
The Taste of St. Augustine in April is a culinary event that offers samples from local restaurants, cookbooks, specialty food items and cooking equipment available for purchase.
This spring festival, Rhythm and Ribs, is fun for the whole family visiting St. Augustine. For one weekend, the St. Francis Field becomes an entertainment mecca packed with activities and lots of ribs.
Gamble Rodgers Folk Festival in May turns St. Augustine into a musical destination with many performances, food, and fun.
The June King Buster 400 in St. Augustine is filled with classic cars, concerts and, of course, the ever-popular fishing tournament.
The Fourth of July Celebration in St. Augustine is known as one of the largest on the East Coast with a patriotic fireworks display bursting over the Matanzas River.

Even if the weather is hot and doesn't tell you that the Christmas season is starting, the St. Augustine Christmas Parade definitely will. Held every year for more than 55 years, this is a must-see holiday event.
When To Go
Winters in North Florida are mild, but the area can experience hard freezes at night. The St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach area is in its off-season and usually has fewer visitors at this time of year.
The spring months of February through April bring trees into bloom as well as many spring breakers from surrounding colleges and high schools. The high temperatures average around 64 to 91°F (18-33°C) for the summer, and some days can be sweltering.
During May through October, St. Augustine has common daily thunderstorms. Hurricane season begins late summer or early fall.
Getting There
By air, the St Augustine/St. Johns County Airport offers airfare to the city along with JacksonvilleInternational Airport. Both airports offer visitors transportation from the airport to their accommodations in the area.
Although Amtrak does not serve St. Augustine, it does run through nearby Jacksonville. The Silver Star and the Silver Meteor trains serve the area, and upon arriving in Jacksonville, travellers can obtain taxis or public transportation to St. Augustine.
Greyhound has a limited bus stations in St. Augustine and tickets cannot be bought there. For tickets, purchase in advance online or buy them at the station in Jacksonville.
