Pasco Climate
Pasco has a semi-arid climate, with hot summers and cold winters. Located in southeastern Washington, it lies in the "Rain shadow" rain shadow of the "Cascade Range" Cascade Range, and the area receives little precipitation throughout the year.
Getting There & Around
The Tri-Cities airport is located 2 miles (3.2 km) from Pasco. Eastern Oregon Regional Airport is another major airport, located 40 miles (64 km) away. A ferry can be used to reach Pasco through the Columbia River. Amtrak serves Pasco on the Empire Builder line; trains stop at the Pasco Intermodal Train Station.
Franklin Transit provides public transportation in Pasco. Alternatively, travellers can hire a car, walk or bike to tour the city.
