Pacific Grove Climate

Because of its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the town of Pacific Grove has a Mediterranean-type climate. Average high temperatures range from around 16°C in the winter months to around 22°C in the summer months, from June to October. There is not much rain, but most of it falls between November and April.

Getting There & Around

Pacific Grove is easily reached by car, with Route 1 from San Francisco providing a scenic route to the town. By train, you can take the Amtrak Coast Starlight to get you to the vicinity. By air, the Monterey Peninsula Airport has flights from San Francisco and is only 10-minute drive to town.

As the town is quite small, you can easily get around on foot or by bike. There are also local buses to get around to nearby places.
