Ocala is also famous for Silver Springs Nature Theme Park, one of the first big tourist attractions in Florida and still home to one of the most prolific artesian spring formations on the planet. As “The Horse Capital of the World”, Ocala and Marion County is also a notable hub for the equestrian and thoroughbred industry in America. Landmarks in the city include E.C. Smith House, Fort King and Wild Waters amusement park.
