Getting There

New York City is always proud to showcase its excellent public transportation system, the best and most expansive within the United States. The Bronx neighbourhood is no exception, and features a number of excellent transport possibilities for travellers, including subway, taxis and bus services. An express bus from Manhattan, the BxM11, takes riders almost directly to the zoo, with return trips departing frequently. Local buses Bx9, Bx19, Bx12, and Bx22 also service the zoo. From the subway, take the Pelham Parkway route number 2 train to arrive at the entrance of the Bronx Zoo.
