California Science Centre Attractions

One of the Centre’s most popular attractions is the Body Works’ 15-metre Tess, the body simulating robot who is happy to display her inner workings for all to see as she and her friend Walt explain how the human body keeps itself in balance. Tess is best viewed after a trip through the Life Tunnel and lessons on how the five life functions highlighted in the World of Life are a part of that balance.

California’s seismic history fascinates its visitors, and the California Science Centre’s Earthquake Experience provides them with a taste of the real thing, as well as lessons in preparedness. The California Science Centre, in short, applies science principles to everyday situations, translating abstract textbook concepts into hands-on experiential form, and leaving visitors of all ages just a little more scientifically savvy than they were on arrival!

Although parking at the California Science Centre costs $6 USD, admission to the Centre itself is free. There is a charge to view its IMAX theatre films.
