Little Rock Climate

Like most southeastern US cities, Little Rock features a subtropical climate that produces hot, humid summers and mild winters. Temperatures during the summer months can exceed 90°F (32°C), especially during August and September. From December through February, temperatures are fairly chilly and dip below freezing. The most pleasant times to visit the city are fall and spring.

Getting There & Around

Flights to Little Rock are served by the Little Rock National Airport. Amtrak (train) and Greyhound (bus) offer transportation to the city from many major cities across the US. Public transportation, taxis and rental cars are available at the airport, bus and train stations.

To get around Little Rock, the Central Arkansas Transit Authority (CATA) provides over a dozen daily routes, including the River Rail Electric Streetcar.
