Getting there
The nearest airport is the McCarran International Airport, where a taxi or shuttle can be taken the rest of the way to Fremont Street. A shuttle costs about US $7 per person to reach downtown, whilst taxis cost around US $23. CAT, or Citizen Area Transit, is the public transportation system in Las Vegas and will cost riders $2, exact change, to get from The Strip to Fremont Street. As with much of Las Vegas, once in downtown, most destinations are easily reached on foot. Most travellers avoid hiring cars, as traffic can be quite congested and parking minimal.
