Kansas City Climate
Unfortunately, Kansas City resides in the infamous "Tornado Alley", so summer rainstorms are frequent and winter can bring ice storms. Summer highs are usually 31-32°C from June through August, while winter lows drop between -3 and -6°C.
Getting There & Around
Air travellers will fly into the Kansas City International Airport, but you can also travel here via Amtrak train or buses run by Greyhound or Megabus lines. Drivers will take the I-435 loop to the suburbs and I-635 into the city, which connects to US routes 24, 40 and 71, I-35 and I-70.
Aside from driving, the city buses provide cheap local transportation.
