It can get quite hot in the summer months in Johnson City, with average high temperatures of 30°C in July. However, during the winter months, average high temperatures can drop to 7°C, which results in some snowfall during the period of December to early March. Spring and summer are the best times to visit the city, although there can be some rain at times.

Getting There & Around

Johnson City is accessible by Greyhound buses. The Tri-Cities Regional Airport is not far from the city and has domestic flights from different parts of the US.

Driving by car is the best means of travelling around the city, with biking and walking not being practical in some busy areas. There is also a local bus service, but it has limited operating hours.
