Getting There
You will want to fly into Tampa International Airport, which is served by many major US, UK and European airlines. Air Transit, Allegiant, Frontier Airlines, Sunwing Airlines and Vision Airlines serve the smaller Clearwater/St. Petersburg Airport. Both airports are clean and convenient, and the choice can be made solely on the cost of the ticket.
Once at the airport, you will have to rent a car or hire a taxi to get to the beach. While in Clearwater, FL, you can get around via your car rental or take a taxi. There is also a bus service as well as the trolley, which can take you to pretty much any destination in town. Both the buses and the trolleys offer low-cost day passes, so that you can ride all day.
