Bangor Climate

Bangor has four seasons, with snowy winters and very mild summers. Spring and autumn are somewhat abbreviated, as snows can last until mid-April and temperatures start to drop in November. October is the peak season for fall foliage, and August is probably the warmest month, but the temperatures remain pleasantly warm rather than sultry.

Getting There & Around

Bangor International Airport offers more than 70 flights daily and it rarely closes, even in heavy snowstorms. There are three different bus lines that provide service from the city to larger cities such as Boston. There is also Concord Trailways, which offers train services.

Locally, there is a bus service known as the BAT. Schedules are available on each bus. Otherwise, driving yourself is the most convenient option.
