When To Go

Baltimore has somewhat of a humid climate during the summer months. Summers are warm and generally the most crowded time to visit. From September to October, temperatures begin to cool with the fall season blowing in. Like most East Coast cities, Baltimore gets a good bit of rain during the winter and spring. November through March typically sees snow. During these months, the temperatures can be rather chilly, especially in January when night temperatures can dip below zero. Spring, summer and fall are the best times to visit Baltimore, as these seasons have the most agreeable temperatures and boast many festivals and events.

Getting There

Baltimore’s location means it’s an easy destination to get in and out of by air. The Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) serves major airlines with daily flights from all over the US. and internationally.

Baltimore’s main train terminal is Penn Station. It’s served by Amtrak, MARC and the MTA, Maryland's light rail system. From local travel to long distance, Penn Station provides travelers with daily scheduled trains.

Greyhound offers economical travel to Baltimore. Service terminals are downtown as well as the Baltimore Travel Plaza located off Interstate 95. The travel plaza has long-term parking, and daily scheduled buses to various Baltimorelocales.
