Getting There
Reagan National Airport is located in Arlington and is served by several major airlines. Also, this airport is connected to the metro system, making travelling very convenient for tourists. Visitors to Arlington can also fly into Dulles International Airport, which is located about 15 miles from the city. Shuttle buses, taxis and the Metrobus serve this bustling airport.
By car, Arlington is accessible from the north by I-70 and I-270, I-95, or I-295 and from the south by I-95, I-395, Route 1 and Route 301. Tourists coming from the east can take Route 50/301 and Route 450. Tourists from the west can take Route 7, Route 50, Route 29/211 or I-66.
Amtrak offers daily service to Washington, DC, where visitors can take the city bus or the subway to connect them to Arlington. The Acela Express train offers the quickest service and also links tourists to destinations such as Boston, New York and Philadelphia. In less than four hours, passengers can take this train and travel from Washington, DC, to New York.
