Ann Arbor Climate

Thanks to its proximity to the Great Lakes, Ann Arbor has fairly humid summers, with average high temperatures around 26ºC and average low temperatures near 15ºC. During winter, however, the weather is quite harsh. In January, temperatures can fall way below freezing and the city can experience periods of heavy snowfall each year.

Getting There & Around

Ann Arbor’s Municipal Airport is owned and operated by the local city government, but the largest airport nearby is Detroit Metropolitan Airport, which offers air service from multiple international carriers. Many travellers who are visiting the area may need to fly into Detroit and then take a taxi service or a rented car to their hotel in the city. Greyhound and Amtrak services are also available.

The city is a modern one with a thoroughly run local transportation infrastructure, such as buses and taxis.
