Southwestern heritage is the backbone of Albuquerque, and it is proudly showcased in the many neighbourhoods like Nob Hill and Uptown. For those who love history the Albuquerque Art and History Museum is a wonderful place to learn about Native Americans and their beautiful history. From the Sandia Aerial Tramway visitors can see the entire area, and possibly even farther. As tourists move about the city from one neighbourhood to another, they will be excited by attractions such as the Albuquerque Zoo, the KiMo Theatre and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. When To Go
The weather is great year round in Albuquerque, and when asked, natives give that as the top reason for living there. Daily, brief showers are common in July and August (monsoon season). Although summer is somewhat rainy, the mountains and high altitude help to keep temps below 38°C (100°F). During the winter the weather is pleasant with highs between 4-10 Celsius (in the 40s and 50s Fahrenheit). However, with the cold come clear and sunny days, so it actually feels warmer than the thermometer indicates.

· June through August (summer): Daily high is 32°C (90°F)
· September and October (fall): Daily high is 22°C (71°F)
· November through February (winter): Daily high is 9°C (48°F)
Getting There
By bus, Albuquerque can be reached through the Alvarado Transportation Center in downtown. Here passengers will find bus services through Greyhound. This bus company offers many routes to Albuquerque from destinations all over the United States.
The two interstate highways that pass through Albuquerque are I-40 (east-west) and I-25 (north-south). For a bit of American nostalgia, visitors can travel to the large intersection of the two interstates and travel on the historic Route 66.
To reach Albuquerque by air, The Albuquerque International Sunport is a full service airport that welcomes millions of passengers ever year. Sunport is the state’s largest commercial airport, and is conveniently located just south of the city's business district.
