Getting There

Like so many other historic places in London, there are no parking areas near Westminster Abbey. Visitors are much better off taking one of the many public transportation opportunities offered in the city. Westminster Abbey is at the heart of the political district, next door to other sights such as Big Ben and Parliament. The Underground metro and many regular bus routes stop very near to the Abbey doors. The closest underground stations are St James Park and Westminster stations, and Victoria rail station is only a block away, so leave your rental car at your hotel and travel as the locals do.
