Soho
Soho is technically part of London’s West End within the city of Westminster. It was established as an entertainment district since the Victorian era, and had a rather seedy reputation through the 20th century that included prostitution and sex shops. It was redeveloped in the early 1980s as an upmarket district of restaurants and media offices. Currently it’s a small, multicultural area that includes entertainment venues as well as residences for many economic classes. Getting There
Because Soho is in the centre of the West End, getting there from anywhere in London is pretty easy. Take the Underground Tubeand exit at any of the close-by stations like Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, or Covent Garden. You can also use your Oyster Card to take a London bus from any of the main streets that surround Soho: Oxford Street, Regent Street, Leicester Square, or Charing Cross Road. Once there, the district it is fun to explore by foot.
