Science Museum Guide

The Science Museum is spread over seven floors, balconies, and mezzanine levels. The Welcome Wing, offering four floors of interactive technology, is at the west end of the museum and is accessible from the first floor and the fourth floor of the main building.

Power dominates the first floor, as well as Space and Making the Modern World. The second floor has the Challenge of Materials gallery as well as Weather and Agriculture. On the third floor is a range of such diverse galleries as shipping, mathematics, and computing. The fourth floor includes Flight and Health Matter. The fifth and sixth floors house the medical history galleries.

The hands-on galleries, including the Launch Pad and Garden, are perfect for children.

Science Museum Hours and Admission

The Science Museum is open 10am – 6 pm daily except for Christmas holiday. There is no admission charge for the museum, but some exhibitions, IMAX theater and simulators cost extra.
