Getting There & Around
An hour north of Manchester, Lancaster is accessible from the M6 Motorway. The local train station is located on the West Coast Main Line. There are regular trains from town to Preston, the Lakes and Scotland.
The one-way road system in town is dense with traffic. There are regular bus services between the area and Morecambe, and between the city centre and the university; the Bay Big 5 will offer you a local transportation discount if you have a larger party. The city is also a cycling demonstration town with plenty of biking opportunities.
