This property is situated in the historic centre of Montaione, a small medieval hamlet on top of a hill and is just a few kilometres away from San Gimignano and Volterra. Very pleasant stay. The hotel is outstanding in every aspect. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff, and very good breakfast. Try the pizza around the corner at 'Corte Antica I Ciampa'. I consider myself an expert and it rates among the best! It's also a very clean restaurant with great panoramic views. There is also a nice little pub just down from the pizzeria.

We decided to visit Montaione for a weekend break, having spent some time in the area for a friends wedding eight years previously.We were very pleased with the hotels facilities especially their restaurant which was superb.I dont think we will wait eight years to return.

Quiet location in the village, yet mins from local restaurants and shops. The junior suites have balconies and overlook the lovely pool and small garden. Historical building with beautiful original features and tastefully decorated. Well situated for drives to San gimignano & Volterra etc. but theres also a local bus service which we used, to go down to the station for our visit to Sienna, which was only 30 mins or so by train. Enjoyed my stay. Recommended.

A gem of a palace. Our room was gigantic and the ceiling rose to several floors with a staircase rising to a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The only problem was that there was nothing to do once you got there. There was one restaurant open in September and about two tiny shops and a Coop.
