Getting There
By air, you will arrive at Ankara Esenboğa International Airport, which is 28 km (17 mi) from the city. You can take one of the HAVAŞ buses to Ulus, which is the city's historical centre. There are also city buses that offer airport transport, namely the 442 bus. The Turkish rail network provides transportation to all over the country. Depending on your itinerary, you may need to transfer in Istanbul to one of the high-speed trains before making the last stretch to Ankara. Overnight trains are not as costly in Turkey, since they save passengers the cost of lodging for longer trips.
