Tryp Cibeles Hotel Madrid
4 out of 5

Although hard to find (entrance is off-street in an alley), this hotel is perfectly located in the center of Madrid. We walked everywhere to include restaurants, train stations, shops, shows and activities. The hotel offers an excellent buffet breakfast for 14 Euros (7 Euros if you're a Mas program member). The multilingual staff are very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us. Only negative comment would be the never-ending traffic nosie and the endless police and ambulance sirens. Room was spotless and large.. We would definitely stay here again.

At first I wondered because it was down an alley and the registration was on the second floor so you have to take the elevator to it but the hotel was very clean, nice new or remodeled rooms and friendly service only not quite good in English, Grand Via is busy all night so there is noise we had an inside room no view but no noise either our room was large and confortable, walking to lots of restaurants, plazas, metro, a 30 minute walk takes you to most museums or palace. I would stay there again..

the place is clean, conveniently located..although it was a bit difficult to find when we arrived at 1 am in the morning (it is not on the main street but in an alley)....staff is gentle, helpful. Bathroom was wonderful, and the room had 4 beds!! (we were 2 people). ... Metro station was 1 block away!....

Good location, lovely room and bathroom. Side entrance would have been difficult to find, if hadn't searched on internet before going. Thought breakfast was included but it wasn't; good choice of places to eat nearby, though. Would recommend without hesitation.

Tryp Cibeles Hotel Madrid is Ideally located Near Puerta Del Sol and Plaza Mayor. Plenty of good tapas and restaurants within walking distance. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Older hotel across from the main shopping district within an easy walk of most sights.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. We picked it hoping it would have reasonable facilities with a central location at a reasonable price. When we booked in, we asked for a quiet room not on the main street, non-smoking. We were put in a room which was somewhere on the back or side and it was as quiet as you could expect given that you were staying in a busy location. The street noise was not a problem. The bathroom was fine with everything working properly. The beds were comfortable. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning and there was a good selection of food. Service throughout was good. The location in terms of walking to places we wanted to see was excellent. We would certainly go back to the hotel if we stayed in Madrid again.
