Great room - with a view - pity we didn't have time to use the pool (it looked so nice). Would loved to have stayed more than one night ...

We picked the Tropicana because it was a little less crazy than most of the hotels on the strip...but close to everything. We were not disappointed in the renovated rooms. They were beautiful. The pool was just mellow enough for our taste...we loved it and we will be back.

The title pretty much sums it up... you feel Old Vegas, but as comfortable as you would anywhere else on the Strip. The pools and pool areas are amazing. The location is fantastic, close to a lot of entertainment with easy access to the monorail. You can't go wrong at the Tropicana.

I didn't have any issues with this hotel at all. The friendly staff even took half off the resort fee because I asked nicely! The rooms themselves are clean. The remodel of the rooms seems to have done wonders. Beds were very comfortable and clean too. i will definitely be staying here again when I'm on a budget and want to head out to Vegas. All around, a great hotel and value.

Clean, Good location. Easy parking. Had a blast. Went to the palazzo to see the Jersey Boy's. And a couple of other shows.

lovely large room - bits of the old with a new remodel. Pool not open due to time of year but still could sunbath with towels and pillows provided. Hot tub open all the time -wonderful area with plants and trees..very clean. The Strip does sound like a war zone now with helecoptors roaring overhead every few minutes and the sounds of emergency vehicles screaming down the Strip was not pleasant.

It's a great location. However, the staff at check-in put me in a handicapped room on the first floor without asking. I thought that was a little rude from a service perspective. Aside from that, it's a great hotel.

It was very low profile. Not a lot of traffic through the hotel, but very quiet. Could not take advantage of the pool and the restaurants were closed. Disappointed that the tubs were not motored and the cable channels were few.

Visited the Tropicana for my 30th birthday with my wife in November and had a lovely stay. 1st impressions are of a really clean, fresh and modern looking hotel and these don't go away throughout your stay. The smell of coconut as you enter is a nice one and not overpowering. Check in was pretty quick and we had been upgraded to a City View room due to my tweeting of the hotel which was an unexpected but very nice surprise. The room itself was excellent. Very large, big king sized bed which was the most comfortable I have slept in. Huge TV on a nice big unit with safe, 4 big drawers and a desk with chair. Also in the room is a chaise lounge, a palm tree style plant, 2 bedside cabinets and an i-pod dock which is great to plug your own i-pod into and listen to your own tunes when you feel like it. The view from our window was onto the MGM Grand and down the strip, looking down on the bridge between Trop and MGM. When lying on my bed I could see the MGM, Planet Hollywood, Paris and Wynn. Very nice. The bathrooms were fine, it did look like they hadn't been upgraded as much as the main room but they still clean and well functional. Decent sized sink and unit, bath tub with a shower that had a very powerful head and a toilet more secluded in a boxed off section of the room. The only slight issue is that we had an adjoining room and you could hear the guests in that room. Luckily we had quiet neighbours but this could be an issue if you had a noisy neighbour. Casino itself is small for Vegas standards and there is no distinct theme like NY NY, Paris etc but it is spotlessly clean. It has a bright airy feel and there is always someone cleaning. All staff were friendly and talkative from check in to dealers to waitresses. The pool area was very nice, nice gardens and the pool was spacious and clean. Food options are limited compared to the bigger hotels but still more than adequate.. Cafe Nikki was the only one we sampled but the meal here was gorgeous. Overall it was a lovely stay, I would have no problems in recommending The Trop to anyone. Thanks to all at The Trop! Room Tip: Paradise Tower rooms are closer to reception but may be noisier due to being closer to the Strip.

Had a great time at the Trop. Remodel was well done, very bright and cheerful everywhere you looked. Staff was great and very helpful. Beds were the best, wanted to bring it home with us. Our room overlooked the MGM, and had a partial view of the Strip. Parking was easy, plenty of spots. Only gave it 4 stars for Amenities because of no coffee maker in room, bring you own shampoo and conditioner. Neither of us liked the type that was in the room. However, I would stay at the Trop anytime that we go in spite of the 4 star on amenities. Just be a little more prepared next time. Stay at the Trop you won't be disappointed.

It was our first time in Vegas and we really didn't know what to expect, but we were both very pleased with the Tropicana! We liked how it was geared toward a younger crowd (with DJs during the day/night at Club Niki), although entry to Club Niki SHOULD be free to Tropicana guests (we were told it was, then had to pay $20 each once we got there). We really liked the location of the Tropicana and found it easy to walk to and from the strip. The whole hotel smelled like coconuts and that, combined with the pool area, really made us feel like we were on a tropical vacation! The staff was also very friendly. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

This year the Tropicana has had a refit and that was one of the reasons I chose to stay there, of course the price was attractive as well. Check in was quick easy and friendly, public areas are cleen and bright elevators were cleen and arrived quite quickly. The bedroom was big cleen and comfy with a queen size bed loads of draw space a double wardrobe with mirrored doors and a good size bathroom all very cleen. A bonus for me was the view from the window overlooked the Luxor and the Excalibur. The hotel has shops spa thearters and casino restaurant and starbucks, also a 24 hour essentials shop. When you have finnished exploring the Tropicana, it's a good base from which to check out the other resort hotels close by and the rest of the strip. If you want a good cleen friendly hotel close to the Strip and not too far from the airport.I highly recomend the Tropicana. However i think the web address Troplv.com Sounds like a medical complaint

We just got back from a week-long stay at the Tropicana. We loved it! Great, clean room. We spent a lot of time in their sportsbook, it was nice and cozy (Oh, AND we won some money! So that was a plus!). Can't wait to return to Vegas! Next time we will go when it is warmer so we can utilize the AMAZING pool they have. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Everythingwas great. We got the requests we asked for, non smoking and rooms that joined together. Very clean, great value. The only problem was that the Internet did not work, I mentioned it to the front desk when we checked out, she apologized, but didn't offer any concession. I would come again.

When I reserved the room I didn't expect the place to be amazing but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The room I got had the best view of LV strip and the room itself was amazing. I am planning to stay here again if possible.
