Hotel is within walking distance of key tourist .sites (Te Papa) and wheeled suitcase walk of airport bus. My room was small and furnishings a bit shop worn, but clean and comfortable. There is some street noise but it was tolerable. (You can open/shut the window, which is a bonus given most hotels today.) Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Okay hotel restaurant & bar, but there is a great bar just down the street in a 19th C building ("Practice"). If you have a car, there is limited parking available. For a foot traveller, you are unlikely to find many other 3 star hotels closer to the CBD & tourist sites. One negative - very expensive wifi. It's free at the tourist office, Te Papa and elsewhere. Otherwise, I recommend Trinity Hotel for a short stay and would stay there again.

We needed a mid priced hotel for two nights business trip. We had stayed here before and found it pleasant enough. Now two year later it was really pretty low quality. Very small room, broken shelves and fridge door, dusty dirty edges, cheap sheets, very poor external soundproofing (we kept checking to see if the windows were open!), chipped cabinetry.... Clearly needs someone fresh to come through and do an audit on visitor experience. Staff were fine, and good location. But felt little better than the best room in a backpackers. Wont be staying there again if we can help it.

Handy to the southern end of the city, Trinity affords easy access to the shopping and business precincts of Wellington. Rooms are small and bare, but are clean and the beds comfortable. Good value for money all things considered when staying for one or two nights. The staff are very friendly.

The hotel lived up to my expectations. The room was a good size, but not huge. Location very handy and easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the wifi though not free was a good deal. The only unsatisfactory thing was discovering large quantities of long hair tangled around the cover over the shower drain. This was dealt thoroughly with as soon as I requested it.

The staff were outstanding! Right down to the cleaning ladies! the reception staff could not do more for us - - very friendly and accomodating, right down to helping me locate a dress I'd left there. The reception also allowed us to leave the car there after we'd checked out, to see a bit more of Wellington. The view from our room of the old cathedral was stunning! The only thing we thought of that could be improved in was that we all suffered sore backs from the beds. Not sure if possible to look into that, but we will definitely come back to The Trinity Hotel again. The situation was perfect, so central, and we didn't need to take the car out of carpark. THANK YOU Trinity Hotel!

Room was small and lift made awful clunking noises which was a bit worrying - but the location made up for it! I was only there for one night, and it was a $25 taxi fare from airport, and a 5 minute walk to my meetings the next day. Didn't try the food but the menu looked good, and the staff were very friendly.

On first glance not bad, when ready for bed pulled the blankets off found the sheets had been used already what was on the sheets was disgusting. The night clerk was amazing efficient we had the sheets changed and bed made in no time.. A couple of other minor issues in the room were attended to the following day. Was reimbursed with $35 voucher along with free WiFi for the inconvenience The restaurant attached to Trinity was great the chef there was brilliant he took great care with his presentation of food and the quality was amazing. I have since heard he left the restaurant, which is a shame. I would go back to this hotel again because of its convenience to central Wellington (will be checking the sheets though just in case)

Stayed in a Queen room was a little bit small but for the price I cannot complain and the amenties. Very modern lovely bathroom and comfy bed with electric blanket. Voucher for the bar downstairs and a slip of paper with the weather on it everyday. Great location, Excellent hotel will definitely be back.

Very friendly helpful staff. Room a bit noisey during this stay. Coupons for a drink at the bar meant we ate at the Eclipse too.

We stayed 6 nights. The staff were friendly, helpful and assisted immediately when a situation occurred unrelated to the hotel. While the rooms are not huge they are comfortable, clean and attactive. The location is very central, a handy walk to everything. We highly recommend the Trinity Hotel.

Central but quiet location with friendly staff and good facilities. Priced right as well. Room could have done with a good spring clean although the bathroom was spotless.

The Room, I stayed in for the weekend was comfortable with everything I needed. A tad noisey, as we had windows to the street from the 4th floor. Otherwise a heater to keep us Warm and cosy, very clean. I did not receive a Thank You, card or at least I dont think so. Great Stay! Thanks

The hotel was a pleasant surprise, obviously recently renovated and nicely so. I would recommend prebooking parking as otherwise could be difficult although there is a public parking station over the road. Wellington can be difficult to negotiate if you are new to town with many one way streets. Parking is best reached via Dixon street rather than Willis. Very central location. Rooms are quiet, relatively small but definitely comfortable.
