Updated motel with beautiful tropical garden pool area. Upgrade was appreciated from basic motel room that was damp and TV not working to a spacious room overlooking pool area. Map at counter contains 2 for 1 breakfast voucher worth using. Long walk to waterfront but close to Woolworths and Mitchell Street area. Helpful accommodating staff.

When we booked in the staff seen we had a baby yet they put us in a room up stairs without access to elevator only stairs. After driving 10 hours from Kununurra I had to sarcastically ask do you expect us to walk up two flights of stairs with all this luggage and a pram. They then put us on the ground floor in to a room with out the additional bed for our baby and it stunk of glue from the carpet being just fitted. The Duty Manager said well sorry for that inconveinence, to which I replied that you should train your staff better and be more curteous with a family. Wont be staying there again, I'll go somewhere else who knows how to look after thier customers.

Good prices for what you get, clean, tidy and friendly. The gym is very basic, but you can get a cardio sesh in no worries. The pool is a treat. Short walk to Woolworths and many other conveniences and activities. You can't get lost in Darwin, it's an easy place to navigate. There's plenty to see and do.

Excellent location, neat comfortable and modern room. Lovely and big pool area. Initially there was an old/ musty smell to the room (quite off puting) but it went after a couple of days. All up we stayed 9 days and it was comfortable, in a great location and despite being busy was a quiet stay.

We checked in at early morning hours due to flight arrival time from Asia. Staff very helpful at that unusual hour. Grateful for assist with baggage up stairs to standard room. Carpet at end of life, stained, and yucky! Otherwise average quick clean each day. Waiting area for pickup comfortable and quiet.

Look; its quite acceptable considering what you can judge it upon. It's NT; and they do things differently. Dont expect the 4 stars you would in Melb/Syd. It's a 3 minute walk to main street shops and nightlife which is great. Pool areas are old and tired. Staff are multicultural and young/hip. Rooms were clean and functional. Bed was OK. Food was only just..... Slightly better than a 'counter meal at the pub' with chips with everything. Overall; it needs a freshen up but with the way Darwin is developing; it is still a cost effective option. For families - or FIFO workers - thats a WIN!

No available lift on my floor, too bad if you're carrying a few stuff with you. Was qouted for cheaper rate when I had to stay extra night, but paid double when I checked out for that extra night. Apparently qoute was a mistake, but for the price I paid on the extra night, I could have stayed at a better accommodation. Security seems to be lacking, some drunks at the swimming pool were fighting and no one was doing anything about them.

Great location right in the heart of darwin, within easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops, and a quick $10 taxi ride to jetty, harbour, and many other locations. we had 5 rooms booked and in one of the rooms the air con stopped working on the 4th night and they refused to move them as they said their contractors checked it and there was no problem. had dinner in the on-site restaurant and 4 of the 10 meals came out completely different to as described on the menu which they later admitted they did not have the right ingrediants and hoped we wouldn't notice- this was on new years eve which put a bit of a dampner on the night for us. cocktails at the pool bar are nice but expensive, and take a while to get. the alcholic slushee's are much better.

For value for money its pretty good. I paid $300 for 4 nights. The hotel is located in town, so its in walking distance of the city centre. I did have problems with my door key, and it was a struggle to open the door. I did report it, but it seems they are having problems. Also over Xmas they never attended to the rooms unless you specifically asked for it, which again was not a major issue. The staff could be freindlier though.
