Everything was great, except for the over-priced internet services.

We were on our way home from a trip down south and stayed here as a break. We found it not too far to wander on down to the waterfront to a pub for tea and a sample of the local night life. The first night we stayed on the way down we ate in the resturant and enjoyed our meal immensly, we were a bit late which might explain why we were the only ones there. Staff very helpful. Bed and pillows was really comfy. Only issue we had was getting a parking ticket in the morning even though we had one of your slips displayed. We will of course dispute this.

Although this hotel was hard to find, its location made up for it. We parked the car and didn't need it for the time we were in the city. Our room was very small but clean and modern and overall great value for money. The shops, museums and restaurants are all close by. We didn't use the hotel amenities and there wasn't a lot of information about them in our rooms so can't comment on them. Great hotel ad would stay again.

A bit of a hassle upon arrival regards inclusions that were listed (parking inclusion with the deal) when booking but hotel details differed. However hotel honoured this and very pleasant about it. Have stayed at travelodge often as it is in a great location and easy to park the car up and walk from there. Will continue to be preferred place to stay when in wellington

The Wellington Travelodge was quite good value, the room was small (especially for a king deluxe room) and there wasn't any room air-conditioning which would be a problem in summer. It was, however, all pretty good and was most convenient to the shops and restaurants

Enjoyable but did ask when I confirmed the 2 rooms we booked if there were 3 single beds in each and was told yes - not even - but other than that we were satisfied with what we got for what we paid. No complaints about the staff they were very professional and helpful. Everything is within walking distance, great locations, cheers.

I know it was a very busy weekend as it was WOW season however knowing that it would be busy perhaps putting on more staff would have been sensible. Concerns we had 1. Upon arrival we were told there was no storage space left for bags but bags were reluctantly placed in the office 2. we were told to return at 2pm for check in (fair enough). Upon return we were informed our room was still not ready. One of our party was 75 years old and frail (she has cancer) we were told the wait for our room would be 20 mins . 1 hr later our room was available 3. We had to ask for soap, towels and cups as these had not been replaced by cleaning staff 4. On check out we were re charged for our room (it had been pre paid) when we pointed this out the staff member was not overly apologetic or overly helpful refunding one member the full cost (we were splitting the bill by 2) . However great location, Last time we stayed here the staff were really helpful and we enjoyed our stay

Check in was slower than expected, room was a tidy low specification room and quite average condition. One of television channels was faulty and alarm clock was set by previous guest so I was awoken unexpectedly early at 4am in morning. Common areas were good condition and it was generally an okay stay but with nothing much to entice me back.

Be aware that this Hotel adds a deposit of $50 per night in advance onto your stay, this is refunded when you leave. But we were staying 4 nights so were asked to hand over or put onto our credit card $200. We had all ready paid for our room in advance and I was not impressed.

Wellington is a great vibrant city, and this hotel is close to the action. Great room, with nice view, awesome position and comfy beds. Shower a great plus. One notch up from your average chain hotel and we got a good deal on the room, so price was good too. Staff were pretty helpful as well.

The Travelodge in Wellington is situated in a great location right in the heart of the city. The rooms are small but nonetheless are well equipped and, importantly, nice and warm. I wouldn't want to pay full price for a room but they offer great value if you can secure a special deal. Just one negative - we were forced from our bed by a fire evacuation at 5.30am on one morning (the fire alarm signal works but there were no fire wardens or a roll call!) and spent an hour in the cold on the street before being allowed to return to our room. Sadly, no hotel staff could be seen and no explanation or apology was subsequently offered. The final indignity was that the fire stairs were locked on each floor and movement from one floor to another could not be achieved.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times when we are in Wellington. If you want fancy facilities and a wonderful view, this is maybe not the place but the location is wonderful - right in the middle of town and we have never been able to fault the hotel. Beds are always comfortable, it is always clean and has all the things required for a short stay. All this for a very reasonable rate. Definitely value for money and we will continue to stay there.
