Travelodge Hotel At Los Angeles Airport Guest Reviews
What a wonderful surprise to find this oasis after staying at the Anaheim Travelodge which was a dump compared to the LAX Travelodge. Very convenient to amenities, close to LAX. Room was clean, fresh and warm and breakfast was enough to get you going. I will stay there again.

Reasonable priced hotel conviniently located very near the LAX airport. Room average size. TV old and with poor reception at times. Complimentary breakfast was in a very small room like dining, basically serving cold cereal with a few bananas. Fortunately the Dennys Restaurant is right outside the parking lot. Saw a few families with little kids enjoying the pool.

Mostly old and ratty but the rooms are spacious & staff seemed fine. Probably worth around half the price I paid.

I was in town to bury my best friend, not a pleasure trip. The burial at sea took longer than I expected, but the nice lady at the front desk extended our check out time by 2 hours, after a bit of pleading. I appreciated that. The hotel has been there for a long time and the decor tells that tale. A kind of 70's retro feel works, when the room next door has a placard saying. "Howard Hughes and Jane Russell" filmed some movie there in the 50's. The bed was comfy and the room was clean and secure. The breakfast was average, but for the price, the free grub and free wi-fi were added bonuses. All was well until check out. I was told that we would be charged for two movies that apparently were ordered while I was out to sea mourning my buddies passing. 24.00 was not going to break my bank and I would have gladly paid the outrageous fee( 10.99 + taxes per movie), had I ordered the movie. But I had not. Nor did my wife or 2yr old. Just not possible, we were not there at the time. I calmly explained to the young man checking us out, that not only did we not order the movies, we were not there at the time they were ordered. He then, in a drone like , mono tone voice, tells me that we must have because the computer says we did. I turned to my wife and asked her in the presence of other guest, if she had ordered these movies and she confirms that she had not. This man held his ground and essentially tells us that the computer does not lie, so we must be lying. That was so insulting that I left my cool calm approach and began to point out the real issue. We, the customer, assure you we did not order these movies and we will not pay for them. To which he remarked that they would still charge us. I had to get loud and assure them that I would not let myself be charged for anything I did not order and if they insisted on pressing the issue I would spend 500 dollars of my time spreading the word and telling the world about this Phantom Pay per View scam. They eventually removed the charges, however the insolent young man said several times, in the presences of other Hotel patrons, that he believed his computer, thereby calling my wife and I liars. INSULTING ! I'll never stay at another Travlelodge ANYWHERE because of this treatment. After all the only recourse a consumer has is to deprive the offending business of our my business/money.
