I was looking for an affordable place with free parking close to the metro and downtown Alexandria. For that, the hotel was perfect. The room, however, was very old with used carpets, and loose electrical outlets. It needed a good paint. They used some sort of chlorine bleach to clean the bathroom with a strong smell. I'm quite flexible and easygoing, but I felt that the room was not good.

Although the motel is old and could use a facelift, the king size bed was comfortable and the room clean - though small. The biggest plus for this motel is the location - walk to Old Town Alexandria and minutes from Washington D.C. So considering the price, it is a good value - just don't expect too much in "the comfort" of a nice room.

Room is clean, bed is comfortable, shower and TV work. For the price, it is a great value in the DC area.

I live in a King-bed room. It is clean and big. The amenities are OK. There are a good coffee maker, a good TV and a vault. There is no fridge, microwave and hairdryer in my room, but you could get a hairdryer form the front desk and also them to store your food in their office. The Wi-Fi works OK. the location is good. about 10 min away from the metro station and the King street (the main street in the little old town). The service is good. People are very nice and it is 24-hr service, although sometimes you need to wait a little longer to see the people at the front desk, but you could also call.

Hotel is located on a main road in town. Nice area of town. Hotel is an older one, so has some wear from the years. The trip to the metro passes by some homes that you may not want to pass at night.
