Thunderbird Carrera is approximately 10 kilometres from Jorge Chavez International Airport. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Lima Plaza de Armas, which is bordered on four sides by Palacio de Gobierno, Archbishop's Palace and the city hall.

Thunderbird Hotel Carrera Lima Guest Reviews
Very comfortable hotel. It is about 3 miles/5 KM away from the main attraction of Miraflores and Larcomar. It cost about 8 soles to get from the hotel to these areas. You are also about the same distance to Downtown Lima going the opposite way. If you like the Casino life there is one in the hotel and one on the hotel accross. Breakfast was good. Coffee was the best coffee in town. I will recommend this hotel to the traveler who will like to save. The Inka and Indio Markets are a great place to shop right before you get to the Ovalo of Miraflores between Arequipa and Petit Thouars Avenues. The Magic Circuit of the Water or Parques de Las Aguas is about a mile up from the hotel, it is a great place to see at night time. Right after that is the Estadio Nacional where we saw Peru beat Paraguay 2-0 in the 2014 Brazil Qualifier. Great town. Hotel is very helpful but do not have too much information on the surroundings.
