+ less than one minute to the shops!! - breakfast for the money we pay it was not good, but overall it was ok.

the hotel is less than a 5min walk to marble arch tube station on the central line and is very convenient for everywhere in the centre. we had a room facing onto oxford st on the 5th floor and I had no real issue with traffic sounds. if you have a disability maybe request a room near the lifts as the corriders are long but again it didnt impact my stay. the room itself was fantastic for the price we got on this site and the bed was really comfortabble, although for the full price I wouldnt have been satisfied. the only interaction we had with any staff was on check in which was quick and easy. hairdryer, iron, press, safe, shampoo, shower gel and soap were all provided and towels were replenised everyday if necessary. would definitely recommend

I do like the hotel location and the hotel staff. The staff were very kind, helpful and always show their careness. The rooms were in good size. On the other hand, the room service was poor in my opinion. This is because when they clean the rooms they only clean the beds ignoring tables and the rest of the room. Additionally, when I asked the room service for an empty plate they charge me 5 pounds! I have never experience or even heard about a charge for bringing an empty plate in any hotels or any serviced apartments. The lobby area is small.

We enjoyed our stay at the Thistle. We wanted somewhere that was within walking distance to shops and attractions and this suited us. Marble Arch tube is right around the corner and as always the tube is very easy to use and get around. The porter was brillant along with the transfed we got through the hotel. Both were very helpful and polite and willing to help us when our suitcase trolley thing wouldn't go down, they helped us and we appreciated it very much. We didn't eat or use many of the facilities in the hotel however we did need to print out our boarding pass and this was easy to do through the business centre. Would stay here again!

This hotel is well placed off oxford street and near marble arch and hyde park. So, we could enjoy the park in the morning and then off for shopping along oxford, regent and bond street - all within easy walking pace. Also, it's quite a nice stroll through hyde park to get to the museums such as National Histories, Science... There are many food choices within walking distance - Angus Steakhouse, Bella Italia, Spaghetti house and fast food such as Macs and KFC, Crepes and Waffles... The only problem is the noise. It seems very popular among big families with rowdy kids. After 2 sleepless nights, hotel kindly upgrade us to a different and bigger room :-) Also, get a bigger room.
