I chose this hotel despite some pretty average reviews. My experience after 3 nights stay are consistent with others' opinions. Things already got off to a bad start when the hotel didn't receive notification of my internet booking (not sure whose fault this was). Then I ended up changing rooms twice in order to avoid noise, firstly from a room facing the construction works across the road, then from a room on the ground floor near the kitchen where I can hear the early morning activities. The front desk wasn't able to change money for me because they don't have the right change, and didn't try to help me out here. The staff at Thien Thanh are courteous enough but not overly helpful and forthcoming.But for this quality of experience, I feel I have overpaid. Perhaps Hoi An hotels are just more expensive. I had arrived in Hoi An from Hue, and my 3 night stay at a hotel there definitely ranks as the most pleasant and value for money experience I've ever had in my travels.

After reading previous reviews on this hotel, they certainly lived up to expections. The hotel is situation in a very quiet area with the restaurant overlooking a sort of rice field. The only down side I can think of are the beds are a little hard and they don't take credit cards. Apart from this, we had an enjoyable 3 night stay.

We extended our stay in Hoi An and upgraded from a Basic to a Superior room with balcony. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace and found the staff to be wonderful. Bookings for tours and cars were simple and everything worked.

Beautiful room, lovely place, great staff. I was really pleased I chose this hotel - had I chosen somewhere else I would have sought to move here. 5 mins from the centre but still surrounded by useful shops and restaurants - so very central - really nice rooms - a pleasure to return to at the end of the day.

Helpful and friendly staff. Free internet. Breakfast is fine and the pool and outside areas looked nice(it was raining so we didn't venture too close!) Very quiet location - although the wooden floors mean that ALL noise within the hotel travels widely - beware crying children in other rooms! Stylish rooms for a very competetive price. We'd gladly recommend it.
