The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun Guest Reviews
We showed up at the hotel and they had no record of our reservation! Thankfully we printed out the confirmation ahead of time and showed it to them so we were able to get a room. Unfortunately, it was on the first floor lagoon side. The hallways are all tile, so we heard every door slam all night long. This is fine if you're a heavy sleeper, but not good for me! The next morning, the front desk moved us upstairs to an ocean front room which was better, but you could still hear a lot of noise. Other than that, the beach was great and the food was good. We got a good deal so can't complain too much.

Our stay at THE WESTIN RESORT AND SPA in cancun was wonderful. My boyfriend and I stayed for a week at the end of Nov. It was perfectly located at the far end of the hotel zone (close to airport), with a bus stop directly outside. The hotel location was also very close to the main HWY, which was also great for us because we rented a car and traveled south nearly everyday. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We did upgrade to the Royal Beach Club, and it was well worth it. Over all a great experience.

We have been to this Westin many times now and have never had a bad experience. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. Unless you have kids with you, I would avoid the first floor though. The hallways are tile there and kids running up and down them can be a bit loud! All the upper floors are carpeted and much quieter. Some inconsiderate guest will always slam doors or some other noise but in a hotel, it's tough to pick your neighbors! All in all, a very enjoyable stay, again! We will go back.

The newly renovated is a joke. Shower doors did not seal. The floor is dirty and sheets smells bad. Even motels in US are better than this, and Westin charge 200 for ocean view room which window is sealed!!

I knew the hotel is far from downtown cancun, but we have a early morning flight, so I decided to stay here for the last night. However, the experience was terrible. First, they charge 3rd people. We stayed in some other Cancun hotels before, and usually they didn't. Second, we order the ocean view, the front desk first give us lagoon view. And after we changed to the so-called ocean view. We found the window can not be opened, and they are extremely dirty. The room is old, no carpet floor, lights and furniture were wore off. Small shower room and doors cannot be closed tightly. The beach is worse than other hotel as well.
