Great room Great bed Great Breakfast Great Hotel. Wish it was summer so I could have used their Great Pool. US $10 taxi to any Casino... Book It!

The remote location was just what we were looking for. The view from our romantic balcony was fabulous and the staff were very helpful. Once the information service at the door explained we could hop shuttle buses around town we found getting around easy and enjoyed our brief stay. Hopefully they will do some upgrades to the worn carpeting soon.

The hotel is old and shabby. With only one route, the shuttle bus service is far from satisfactory.

My 2 email feedbacks to the hotel can best describe my experience : 日期: 2012年9月23日,星期日,下午6:37 Dear Sir, I was your guest who had a bad experience with your hotel's shuttle bus service on 22.9.2012. I missed the shuttle at The Venetian bound for the hotel at about 21:50 and waited for 25 min. for the next bus. A group of 6 people including 4 adults came after us at The Venetian but got on the bus first with only 3 empty seats. The group of 6 occupied the 3 seats and I was asked by the driver to get off as he advised that standing on the bus was not permitted though I have told the driver that the group jumped the queue. The bus with the group left for the hotel when I got off. I was tired of another 30 min waiting which had no guarantee that I could get on the next bus because of such lousy arrangement. I got back to the Hotel by bus which terminated at another side of the beach and walked back crossing the beach in total darkness ! When I spoke with your hotel manager that night, he could just told me that the Macau Police would ticket those shuttle bus with people standing and appreciated my comment, nothing more. My understanding is that the shuttle bus should not take more than the permitted number of passengers no matter the excessive ones are standing or crouching. I am sure that guests of your hotel having to occupy one seat in the shuttle bus is not a "selling point" of your hotel. Your hotel should either get a larger bus or insist not to take excessive passengers. What your hotel manager explained to me seemed that comments were noted but practice remained. Could you please kindly advise me of my queries below : #i# are excessive passengers crouching in the shuttle covered by insurance or not in case of accidents ? I want to know as I want to be centain if the guests of your hotel have been put at risk. #ii# there isn't any westin shuttle bus stop sign at The Venetian. Is your hotel permitted to pick up passengers there ? How does the shuttle bus driver differentiate who is waiting first and how to resolve the jump-the-queue situation, which I guess would be quite frequent for a small shuttle bus operating only at 30 min interval ? I look forward to receiving your reply asap. Regards, A poor guest of your hotel 主題: Re: FW: shuttle bus service 日期: 2012年9月24日,星期一,下午10:06 Thank you for your prompt reply. However, I am not interested in the original routing. In fact it is not the routing or how many stops that matters. As the manager of the hotel, you would probably be more concerned about the interest of the guests, in particular whether they are well covered by insurance if any mishap occurs while providing your services. I take your silence on my query #i# as a "no". In general, excessive passengers would result in a breach of the terms of the insurance policy and it is likely that none of the passengers would be covered by the insurance in case of accidents. I hope you would appreciate that it is not only my personal experience. For the jumping queue situation, it appears it is not the driver's problem as he is only following instruction and you also mentioned that "It is indeed very difficult for the shuttle bus driver to differentiate which guest#s# was/were in the queue when picking up passengers from the Taipa and City of Dreams stops." He got no proper instruction to handle such situation as the hotel itself does not have any idea on how to avoid similar problems from happening. It seems to me that the problem is with the hotel more than any 3rd party. If you consider this is the way to address my concern, I leave it to you. Regards,

The hotel is run down. The restaurant and bar are already closed probably due to low occupancy rate. I would not go back there anymore.

Hotel overall facilities are a bit old. Rooms are clean. Very nice staff and warm services. Shuttle is not frequent enough since for the hotel location the shuttle is a must.

is very good stay in this hotel. the tea set is nice. westin club is good and service is excellent. I went with my 11 months baby. the baby pool and discovery room (play room) are suitable for her. the breakfast has many choice for us. I love it . However, the shuttle bus has only 28 seats for every 30 mins serval. some seats were reserved to their staff. I cannot wait it.

There are two lamps broken. The toilet flushes endlessly. The staff in the restaurant do not willing to tell about the discount offered by card or SPG.

This was the second time I stayed in this hotel. After first stay in last April, I didn't have much expectation on it because the furnitures and decoration in the hotel are too old! Unfortunately, I had made two bookings at one go so I had no choice but to stay there once again. On last week's trip, I found a big cockroach dancing on the corridor outside my room! Terrible! In my mind, Westin is such an international hotel chain, I couldn't convince myself the hygience there is so poor. I think they need renovation! All the amenities and design need to be renovated.

酒店本身環境舒適漂亮,但交通不方便,建議酒店加設穿梭巴士到澳門各地區及加密班次,方便住客外出活動/進膳. 因住了兩晚,清潔好求其.沒有補充免費水.

Having spent 1 night in the weekend of this hotel, I have not much to comment on except a few points I observed: Good side: 1. Located near a beach and faraway from the hustle and bustle of the casinos and hotel groups in Taipa, this is the hotel where you want to get some peach and tranquility, 2. There is a 18-hole golf course which should appeal to anyone interested. Not so good side: The Rooms and the hotel itself is a bit old and needs some refurbishment. However it was the way the staff handled the situations that I would not expect from hotels like Westin. The incident occurred when we boarded on a free shuttle from the hotel to the pier/other hotels. Since reservation was mandatory for the shuttle service, naturally I guess everybody had made the reservations. Somehow, it seems the shuttle was overbooked when we tried to depart, and the staff came up and asked me and my wife to take the taxi and that they would pay for it. (since we indicated earlier we would stop at the Venetian instead of at the pier) However now the problem came. The staff got a taxi for us and only gave us what he thought should be sufficient, and was so confident that it was enough, that he ignored our concern if otherwise, and at the end turned out not to be enough. (It was a straight forward road from Westin to Venetian so I doubt the taxi driver was taking a long route) So at the end we had to settle the difference. Although not much, but I was deeply disappointed by the staff's arrangement and professionalism. He should have checked with the taxi driver and gave us more instead of just assuming (He didn't even listen to the taxi driver even when the driver was not sure whether it was enough or not) Other occasions that put me off were people jumped the queue while everyone was queueing when check-in (mind you, most had manners to queue but there were always the few who ignored the rules). The Westin staff, because they were understaffed and were busy with the check-ins processes, did not notice and just serviced whoever were next to the counter. This happened again when we were checking out. Besides not being fair to the ones who follow the rules and queue, this really encourage those who have been used to jumping queues and let them think there is always a "shortcut" of making things happen. I was in Macau's Galaxy Hotel a month ago. Even though there were more people at the check-in lobby, there were staff there who helped to control the situation. So kudos to such a hotel that was not even as famous as a well-known international brand. Lastly, we arrived at 3pm-ish and when we tried to check-in, the staff told me no rooms with 1 single King's bed were ready and told us to wait for 1 hour! Again, this could be improved if they could have more cleaning staff as their standard checkout time should be 1100am. All these mean this hotel is gradually losing business to those new, well-maintained hotels in Taipa and would not appeal any more except to those veteran travellers who prefer maybe a few games of golf.
