The hotel is connected to The Galleria Shopping Center, the fourth largest shopping center in North America and is the only place to stay for ultimate leisure, entertainment and recreation.

The Westin Oaks Houston At The Galleria Hotel Guest Reviews
While the room was clean the comfort fell short due to the incredible amount of noise coming from the nearby highway and the air conditioning units. The hotel also double charged me. While this reservation was booked through a third party and was a prepaid reservation the hotel staff failed to recognize it. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good night sleep and for efficient billing.

I had stayed before at this venue, and its been renewed recently.. The rooms were nice and spacious, and their bed is otherworldly.. On the other hand, I was surprised to know that they charge you for almost anything, bottles of water, even for 1 - 800 calls, you get a 2 dlls charge plus tax, not even in fancier hotel I have encountered that.. Btw, I reserved and pre paid through the web, but when I checked out they were charging an extra USD $130 dlls.. When I went to the fron desk to ask for it, they said "Must have been a problem with our system.." and corrected it right away..

Stayed at the Westin Oaks for a medical conference, but found that the Westin Galleria (located adjacent to the Galleria Mall as well) was better. The rooms at the Westin Oak were okay, but the Westin Galleria seemed cleaner and more updated. Also the elevators at the Westin Oak were beyond SLOW! The rooms booked via orbitz costs more than if booked via the actual Westin website and orbitz would not refund the difference... Overall, would recommend to travelers, but not to those with kids. If you have a choice, I'd go with the Westin Galleria instead.

The hotel are in the Galleria, is the best think that will happen, because when I bought I'll go to the hotel and letf my shopping in the room.
