Location
The Tauranga in the Second Avenue cul-de-sac, Tauranga Central City, is close to restaurants, cafes and city businesses. Located towards the southern side of the CBD, this area has many attractions in its vicinity such as Brain Watkins House, Spring Loaded Fun Park and Katikati Bird Gardens.
Rooms
The Tauranga offers 12 premier luxury waterfront suites and 14 executive units. All units are equipped with amenities such as television with cable connection, kitchenette, microwave, telephone and private bathroom.
Restaurant
The property does not have a restaurant. However, guests can enjoy dining at nearby restaurants such as The Palms Restaurant & Bar, Bella Mia, Pizza Hut and Goldmela.

The Tauranga On The Waterfront Motel's conference centre provides a well-appointed seminar room for groups of up to 50 people, or two smaller rooms to host smaller meetings and presentations. The staff at the tour desk are happy to provide guests information about places, which guests can visit.

First impressions were great, welcome was friendly and helpful, unit was spotlessly clean and had everything in it we could have wanted. The view was great and the location excellent. However, we were let down by 2 things which may not bother others but bothered us. The expelair in the bathroom came on automatically after being in the room for a minute or so, even if the shower was not used. It made a long loud rattling noise and was very irritating especially as we could not turn it off. Also the outside light shone through the glass panel in the front door lighting up the room until 3a.m. when it was finally switched off. If these 2 things wouldn't bother you, then this is absolutely the place to stay!

Pictures showing the room that I was expecting were different from the room we actually got, and views were definately not what was advertised, also I would not call this room a "Executive studio apartment"!!! . Thought the room was extremely pricey for what it was even though it was a sale price I got. Overall would not stay there again.

Beautiful uninterrupted views of the harbour. Comfy bed. Great spa bath. Plenty of towels. Excellent cleaning service. Wireless broadband did not reach our room but good reception from carpark.
