I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Shilla. the staff were both friendly and helpful. I would recommend the hotel and will stay there again when I am next in Seoul.

Amazing hotel. Be ready to throw down some cash to stay there, but it is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are gorgeously but not ostentatiously adorned and the bar has a great selection of ages scotch & the best gin & tonic i've had since being in Korea. The hotel staff found exactly the type of restaurant we were looking for and were always friendly but not fake. It was a wonderful place to stay.

This hotel has some character, unlike many Seoul hotels, primarily due to its green and relatively airy location at the bottom of Namsan. This means you get a decent view, a nice sculpture garden to stroll in and pleasantly reconstructed traditional Korean buildings next door.<br> <br> We were upgraded to a higher level of room when we checked in. Staff were unfailingly polite and professional. The only blot was the fact that many of the toiletries that one takes for granted (eg. toothbrushes) in most hotels were pay-for items here, part of the mini-bar service. This seemed to be a little stingy for a 5-star hotel and quite inconvenient as I had to trudge down to a convenience store on a cold, windy night at midnight to buy them. Bring your own. Also, if you are not eating breakfast at the hotel you should note that there are not many options for breakfast within walking distance of the hotel. All in all, I''ll stay again but bring my toiletries next time.

Very nice hotel with a lot of word-class facilities and excellent service. Korean restaurant was very good while Italian restaurant was average. The place has a lot less energy than another hotel which has a more popular lounge and nightclub.
