Enjoyed my stay at the Shepherds Arms - bed very comfortable and appreciated the older-style feel to everything.

Quiet, clean. excellent bed. friendly hotel manager. Not quite in the CBD but still handy to Lambton Quay/Molesworth St. had more character than some of the bigger hotels.
